RETURNS & REFUNDS

Shape of Sunday allows customers to request a return within 14 days of delivery of the order, including customers residing outside the European Union.

For consumers to whom European law applies, this includes the statutory right of withdrawal provided by applicable law. For other customers, the 14-day return right is voluntarily offered by Shape of Sunday, without prejudice to any more favourable mandatory rights granted by the law applicable in the customer’s country.

HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

To request a return, the Customer must clearly communicate their decision within 14 days from the day on which the Customer, or a third party designated by the Customer other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the product.

The request may be sent:

via WhatsApp message to +39 329 882 5225;
through any dedicated return function available in the Customer’s account.

If several goods are purchased in a single order but delivered separately, the 14-day period starts on the day the last item is delivered.

It is sufficient for the return request to be sent before the 14-day period expires.

RETURNING THE PRODUCT

After notifying Shape of Sunday of the return, the Customer must send the product back without undue delay and in any event within 14 days from the date on which the return was communicated.

Unless otherwise indicated by Shape of Sunday or required by applicable law, the direct cost of return shipping is borne by the Customer.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping the receipt and tracking number until the refund has been completed.

The product must be returned complete with all parts and any accessories originally received.

CONDITION OF RETURNED PRODUCTS

Shape of Sunday primarily sells second-hand, vintage and pre-owned clothing. The condition of each item is documented through descriptions and photographs before sale.

The Customer may inspect and try on the product to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, fit and functioning.

The Customer is responsible for any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for that assessment.

When the item is returned, its condition may be compared with the description and photographs available at the time of sale in order to identify any alterations or damage occurring after delivery.

REFUNDS FOR EUROPEAN UNION CUSTOMERS

When a consumer validly exercises the right of withdrawal in relation to the entire order, Shape of Sunday will refund:

the price of the returned products;
the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method available at the time of purchase.

If the Customer voluntarily selected a more expensive shipping method, such as express shipping, the additional amount above the least expensive standard shipping option will not be refunded.

In the event of a partial return of an order, the original shipping charges are not refunded, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

The cost incurred by the Customer to ship the return back to Shape of Sunday remains the Customer’s responsibility, unless otherwise stated or unless the law provides otherwise.

REFUNDS FOR CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION

Shape of Sunday voluntarily allows customers residing outside the European Union to return products within 14 days of delivery.

Subject to any mandatory rights under the law applicable in the Customer’s country, the refund will cover the price of the returned product.

Original shipping charges paid for delivery of the order are non-refundable.

The cost of shipping the return to Shape of Sunday is borne by the Customer.

Any more favourable mandatory consumer rights under the applicable law of the Customer’s country remain unaffected.

DUTIES, TAXES AND CUSTOMS CHARGES

For international orders, any customs duties, import taxes or fees paid directly by the Customer to customs authorities, the carrier or other third parties are not collected by Shape of Sunday and therefore cannot be refunded directly by Shape of Sunday, unless those amounts were originally collected by Shape of Sunday at the time of purchase.

The Customer may contact the relevant customs authority to determine whether a refund of duties or taxes may be requested following the return of the goods.

For returns from outside the EU, the Customer should correctly indicate in the customs documentation that the shipment contains returned goods being sent back to the seller, in order to avoid the improper application of new duties or taxes.

Any costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete customs declarations may be charged to the Customer to the extent permitted by applicable law.

REFUND TIMING AND METHOD

For consumers to whom the European statutory right of withdrawal applies, the refund will be made without undue delay and in any event within 14 days from the day on which Shape of Sunday is informed of the decision to withdraw.

Shape of Sunday may withhold the refund until the returned product has been received or until the Customer has supplied evidence of having sent it back, whichever occurs first.

For returns voluntarily offered to customers outside the European Union, the refund is processed after the returned product has been received and inspected.

Unless otherwise agreed, refunds are issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

The time required for the amount to become available again may depend on the Customer’s bank or payment provider.

DEFECTIVE, DAMAGED OR NON-CONFORMING PRODUCTS

A standard return due to a change of mind is separate from the Customer’s rights where a product is defective, damaged during delivery or does not match the description provided.

If the product received has an undisclosed defect, does not match the description, or arrives damaged, the Customer should contact info@shapeofsunday.com, provide the order number and, where useful, include photographs of the product and packaging.

In such cases, the rights and remedies provided by applicable law will apply, and the standard rules regarding return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns may not apply.
